Feather Agate
Feather Agate is a rare and unusual gemstone found in Sumatra. The beautiful and unusual feather pattern is due to the preservation of the hard remnants of the skeletons of discocyclina fossils. The hard remnants of the skeletons were preserved in a microcrystalline agate/chert. This has resulted in a beautiful gemstone which occurs in colours of umbers, beiges and browns with contained feather like patterns.
